A Party member for over 40 years, spending all of that trying to protect the welfare state from Tories and Neo-liberal economics. Now retired, I worked in local government all my career, from planning to Environmental management and sustainability policy and partnerships. I’ve lived in Eastbourne for 7 years.

There are many democratic socialists in Eastbourne and I believe we can win seats for Labour by working together, being tolerant of political differences and uniting in defeating our common enemies. I want to see a party where members enjoy campaigning and socialising together and be organised effectively to change opinions and win elections.
