We had a great day chatting to commuters at #Eastbourne and #HampdenPark stations while they waited for their delayed and cancelled trains.
Southern Rail and the Tory government have failed Eastbourne for too long. Our town relies on tourism and local resident rely on our railways for our links to London.
We need a system with capped fares, better, more reliable services and investment in our railways.
Those of your who have followed Eastbourne Labour’s campaigns will know we’ve long argued that Southern should be stripped of the franchise, but our MPs and the government have failed to act.
Only Labour will bring our railways back into public ownership so we control the future of our transport network.
