Dave Poole, the Labour Representative in Hampden Park has finally received the pollution monitor from Clean Air Eastbourne which he purchased himself. He is currently reading up on how to set it up and will then be installing it in Mountfield Road very soon.

After reports of Eastbourne’s high levels of pollution, it’s obvious to most residents that Mountfield Road, being by Hampden Park level crossing is the biggest pollution blackspot.

This is made worse by rivers not turning off their engines whilst waiting for the crossing

The pollution monitor will send automatic updates to the environmental group and we are hoping that the data received will be damning enough to be able to force the powers that be to finally do something about the problems of the level crossing.
