Meads – ESCC Election 2021
I am proud to have been selected as Labour Party candidate for Meads in the forthcoming 2021 County Council election. I am very familiar with the area having worked in Meads for the last 20 years as a Senior Lecturer at the University of Brighton. My wife and I have lived in Meads and our son went to school there. As a regular user of the local shops and amenities I have first-hand understanding of the needs of residents and businesses.
We are all going to suffer the effects of Covid in one way or another and it has never been more important to elect Councillors who will support their local community and fight to restore and maintain services, such as health care, policing, help for the elderly, libraries and public transport. In recent years, the Tories, aided and abetted by the Lib Dems, have cut the public services that we rely on and they will be under even greater threat post-Covid.
Eastbourne is in need of Labour councillors who will be a strong force for positive change and reverse the years of mismanagement, waste and austerity inflicted on the people of Eastbourne. You have the opportunity to choose me as your elected representative on Thursday 6th May and, if elected, I will work tirelessly to improve the quality of life for every Meads resident.
